My name is Jen.  In the hoopdance community I go by Jennaluna.  About me:

  • I am from Portland, Oregon which is why I am a straight-up treehugger, & proud of it.
  • I am the proud daughter of a gay man who lost his battle with AIDS on 1/6/2000.
  • I have 2 dogs: Bella and Buckley, and 2 cats: Mina and Sebastian.  They rule.
  • I am an Aquarius with a Virgo Rising and Libra Moon.
  • I started hooping in 2007 and it has changed my life in many ways.
  • I am a burner and have Burning Man to thank for bringing hooping into my life.
  • I just recently got my Bachelor’s in Psychology from UC Berkeley.
  • I am going for my Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology at CIIS in SF.
  • I lived in Los Angeles for 6 years pursuing an acting career.  Then I moved on.
  • Since I am not acting anymore, I have collected a few more tattoos.  Big ones.  Yay!
  • I am moving back to Oregon by the end of 2010…finally!
  • I feel strongly connected to the moon.
  • I was a dancer growing up…ballet, tap & jazz.  Yes, I rock jazz hands like no other.
  • I was also a cheerleader…don’t hold it against me.
  • I have been to acting school, beauty school, massage school, and makeup school.
  • I have gotten the first two degrees in Reiki.
  • I feel connected to East Indian culture, but have never been to India.  Someday soon.
  • I have actually never been overseas at all and I look forward to it.  Someday soon.
  • I am a true believer in the Law of Attraction.  It works for me.
  • I have a  Style Statement and it is Comfort Sacred.  It makes me calm and happy.
  • I love the rain.  It cleanses my soul.
